Play Date
Luke Z came over to play with Will today and they had quite a good time yelling, chasing each other, knocking each other down, hitting, throwing, and in general acting like boys! Here are some pics:

Annely Blake went for her two month check-up today, and as you can see she doesn't look too happy about the shots. She weighed in at a healthy 11lbs 5oz and 22 1/2 inches. She's been VERY fussy since the visit and all the needle pricking. It's funny to see how she already has a little personality and how it's different from her brother's. Will was never fazed by anything, shots included, and he remains my laid-back, easy-going boy. If she's anything like us Ramsey girls, that high maintenance personality might be emerging!
on another note- Matt and I planted Zinnia seeds a few days after AB was born. We weren't sure how they'd do, but the first round of blooms appeared last week and now graces our patio table.......

It was a whirl-wind weekend with my parents, sister, aunt, and uncle coming in for Annely Blake's baptism today. Each article of clothing or piece of jewelry she wore held special meaning: A tatted cap made by my great-grandmother and worn by my grandmother, mother, and myself. Baptismal gown worn by Will 2 years ago and by my sister 26 years ago. A gold and sapphire pin which I wore on my wedding day. A gold cross necklace made by my aunt Janet. After the service we all came back over to our house and feasted on ham, napa cabbage salad (believe me, you want the recipe to this one! thanks Sarah:)), fruit salad, potato and green bean salad, and white cake petite fours with pink booties iced on the top. I joked around to my uncle as they were leaving; "hey, maybe we'll do it again in two years!" Don't read too much into that :)

redemption
A thorough cleansing of both our children was necessary this morning. We found vile pictures of them posted on our friend's website: www.allaboutadams.blogspot.com. Who ever thought blue and orange was a good color combination anyway? My dad said he heard crying over the phone when he called last night....I can see why. Annely Blake was able to redeem herself somewhat- we'll have to get Will in some Georgia gear another time. Steve and Bridget, I never thought you would stoop so low as to put Will in a cheerleader uniform. I mean, Auburn colors are bad enough, but a dress? War Tiger is it??? Oh, by the way Steve, I saw Walmart had Auburn paraphernalia on clearance....looks like they can't even give it away.

funny boy
Will: show me, show me
Mommy: what do you want to show me Will?
Will: this (starts walking into kitchen)
Mommy: ok, what is it?
Will: I touch this (points to dishwasher)
Mommy: Will, you know you're not supposed to push the buttons on the dishwasher, don't do it again ok.
Will: ok, I time-out (goes to his time out chair and puts himself in it)
at least he's honest!!
